The Sunny Southland, that’s what they called it and I never questioned the idea that when I got as far south as Atlanta it would be… cold. The information was there if I had bothered to read it, Atlanta can get “right chilly” in the winter. And it is now. Makes me turn in for my photography or wait for the few warm days and then edit through the rain and cold safe in my studio curled up in front of a roaring digital display.
I adjust my thinking on these days and work more in abstraction or color for its own sake. There’s always material. Always fun.
