I found out a few days ago that one of the pieces I submitted for the Museum of Contemporary Art show (MOCA), GATHERED: Georgia Artists Selecting Georgia Artists, “Green Fence” was accepted. It is a photograph I exhibited here in the “The Miracle” post, printed 22″ x 33″. I feel elated and honored to be included among the many artists who had work accepted.
Coming up, in March, is “Paperworks,” a show Franca and I will have together in LaGrange, twenty pieces each, at the Cochran Collection Gallery on the square there. The gallery is a wonderful space and there are no nicer or more knowledgeable folks than Missy and Wes Cochran. We appreciate so much they’re making this happen.
I’ve noticed that, although Atlanta has many cultural outlets, it pays to visit the smaller towns around; LaGrange, Newnan, Madison… There are some real surprises to be found.
I’m getting antsy to get out and make images but it has been so cold… soon!
