For the last couple of months I’ve been a part of the Advanced Photography Seminar created and admirably managed by Chip Simone. The group is quite diverse and all really good at what they do. The”interface” is essentially a private Facebook page where we can see each other’s work, comment, ask questions and get ideas. We meet occasionally, face to face and bring prints. We are all “becoming.” The experience has been great for me because I work in a insular environment and this seminar has been a “breakout,” of sorts. I think I’m lucky that I joined with this group. Great people.
And now we’re traveling. My approach to that Italian world is going to be different this time. I’m trying to reach a new level of sensitivity to what I see, more time spent, more patience to develop the images.
Here are a few from the period spent with APS.
