Never know the next turn. We arrived in Italy and I was feeling not so hot but with jet lag and sleep deprivation the real reason was disguised for a while. I eventually spent 5 days in the hospital in Pescia with pneumonia. I had always feared being that sick in Italy but there was no reason to fear. The hospital was great and they stayed with it until the infection was gone and I was on the mend. But I was so tired for half the trip.
What was amazing was the concern and care from our family and friends. I was worried that Franca would have a lot of trouble getting back and forth from the hospital to Pietrabuona. There was always someone who called and said they would handle that. As always Franca was my rock and we got through it.
Here we are in Glorenza albeit the last few days but one of the fairyland places on earth. As long as we can we’ll come back here to wind down for the trip back to the US.
I’ve made a few photographs and I’ll be out today. In fact I need to go…

I suppose if we traveled to someplace that had absolutely nothing I’d seen before I’d stop using fences, etc. The rest after we’re home.
